OVERVIEW

Subcontracting to BRB Modular, Vision Constructions was tasked with the demolition of an existing basketball court and the construction of a new child care car park on Badu Island.

Careful planning and preparation was essential in order to execute this project inside very tight budget and time constraints. Plant and equipment was barged to site from Cairns and sourced locally onsite where possible.

 

SCOPE

Some of the key constructional tasks within the project were;

• Traffic control,

• Demolition,

• Clear and grub,

• Bulk earthworks,

• Concrete batter protection,

• Concrete construction and fencing, and

• Embankment Construction (fill and extend).
